Shield Protectors are Legit

I recently discovered the Shield Protector for the Nintendo Wii Remote and Nunchuk. I don't know about you, but I am the kind of person who likes to express himself. The shield protectors are these awesome shells that go around your Wii controller and protect it from the great big bad world. They come in awesome colors like "clear green," "clear pink," "clear blue," "smoke," and "clear." I'm kinda partial to the "smoke" version, but the "clear blue" one is awesome too. They work well and they don't block the buttons. They're cheap (usually between $6.99 and $8.99) and easy to put on your controller. They work better than the gel kind because they actually protect your controller. They're also really shiny.

There's just one problem. The new outside shell gets in the way of any chargers so if you buy the rechargeable battery accessory you have to take it off every single time which gets old pretty quick. Even if you don't have a charger, you have to take the shell off to replace the batteries, which is not a fun experience.

But that's what I really love about this product. It shows what people value. Do you value the pragmatic or the aesthetic? Would you be willing to pry the Wii remote out of a cutesy colored shells every time your batteries die? My answer: definitely. What kind of world would we live in if there were no cutesy colored armor shells around remote controls? What's a world without color? What's a world without remotes? Can you put a price on color? Is it between $6.99 and $8.99?

I want to live in a world where color and protection live hand in hand. That's the power of the Nintendo Wii Remote and Nunchuk Shield Protector.
